Philosophy as defined by the Wikipedia
"Philosophy is the study of general and fundamental problems, such as those connected with existence, knowledge, values, reason, mind, and language.[1][2] It is distinguished from other ways of addressing such problems by its critical, generally systematic approach and its reliance on rational argument"
The people who are involving in this process is called philosophers. Greatest of Empires have always been built by great philosophers. Countries which have arisen from the ashes always had great philosophers. As a country which is looking towards the development, we need few of them. Different philosophers have arisen and diminished in the recent past. But none of them has stayed with their philosophies.
Two such examples were Dhamma Dissanayake and Prof. Nalin De Silva. They were independent philosophers who has put some philosophies to change this country. But the worst thing is that they are not looking independent now. So we have a lot of vacancies for people who has their independent ideas towards the development of this country. They should not act on a specific political view. in the meantime, due to this political structure, independent people are rapidly diminishing from the society.
